How do you study thoroughly for multiple AP classes and PreAP classes to get a five or four on the exams?? Also, I play Basketball and Run track so I wont be home from school until like...530? Any hardened vets out there? lol.

NEXT YEARS LOAD
1)AP BIO
2)PREAP CALC
3)APUS
4)AP LANG
5)ART
6) PREAP SPANISH
7)PREAP PHYSICS
8)ATHLETICS
^^^is this too much?
*Preap is basically honors

Basically just do all the homework/reading and pay attention in class. take notes if you want and start reviewing in april for bio/apush. no individual prep really needed for lang, just make sure you know how to do the essays/mc.

Honors classes are only difficult if you don’t pay attention in class and don’t do your homework. AP classes are the same, but worry about your essays a bit more when it comes to AP Lang and APUSH. I had a similar schedule sophomore year (only with an extra honors class) and I never got home before 6:30, but I managed just fine.

The way you describe it sounds so simple. As far as doing the homework and readings, my APUS teacher (APWH teacher as well), is horrible! We never wrote a ccot or c/c all year! And we only did one practice test. He just gave us powerpoints and told us to read the textbook. I’m afraid more work on my behalf is required.

I had a very similar schedule my junior year and I had athletics too that would go until 6:00. As for the classes themselves (in my opinion), it isn’t extremely difficult to get good grades even in AP or PreAP classes as long as you pay attention in class. For the first part of the semester, allot a majority of time to securing your grades. As for AP tests, I was also a procrastinator so I ended up doing most of my studying in the last month or so. If I were you, I’d DEFINITELY buy a review book for Biology (Princeton Review) and US History (Princeton Review + Kaplan) and use some of your time during winter and spring break to review. The Princeton Review for biology takes around 10 total hours to get through and the US History books take probably a total of 20-25 to read. So give yourself maybe 30ish minutes a day during breaks and you’ll finish them for sure! Then, when AP exams come around, you can more easily skim the books to review information and get through them a few days before the exam. As for AP Language, there isn’t much to study as it’s essentially a critical reading section and then some essays. So, I wouldn’t spend much time fretting over it. Hope this helps!

Thank you for being so thorough! I’ll definitley get a review book! Is there a certain amount of time I should allot to study for each individual subject?
