AP Summer Reading or Workbooks?

I have summer reading assigned for my English and Government classes next year, but nothing for math or science classes (Calc AB, Chem, and Bio APs). I know I can't really read a novel about Calculus, but for those who self-studied or prepared with workbooks or websites the summer before taking these classes, what would you recommend? I think it would be really helpful for people on CC who've already taken classes to list some summer prep that helped them or in retrospect could have helped them with APs.

For AP Euro I read A World Lit Only By Fire and it gave me great background info. Also for APUSH I pretty much consumed the outlines on course-notes.com for review and found the AP test quite easy, so I think that self-studying from those outlines would be very helpful for anyone who wants to get an early start.

I don’t think you need to prepare for the classes over the summer, since you are not given an summer homework. Enjoy your summer. if you are taking self-study APs though, it might be benificial to look over those over the summer, so as to not get bogged down in a tough course load and studying on your own time. I didn’t look at my self-studies the summer before this year, and with 6 self-study APs, my grades were a little worse than usual first semester, and really awful second semester (although, by second semester I just stopped trying, didn’t do any work. second semester senior year, terrible senioritis.)
