That’s awesome! Sorry that US History 3 doesn’t get credit. Some southern state schools will give you credit for that. How much credit do you get for AP Lang 4? Is that English Language or a foreign language?

Still waiting on AP results. Took Eng Lang and Latin Vergil.

Ha, yea I wish it did, but I will have all my I & S requirements covered by first quarter, so its not big deal. It was AP English Language and Composition, and a 4 gets 5 credits. I am really happy because I should be a sophomore after first quarter! Good luck, you can call to get them now if you really want them! I called because I need my scores for orientation.

Yes some people said they already had credit on their unofficial transcript on my uw…but mine hasn’t shown up yet. I called the number and payed 8 bucks so I had mine before everyone else haha.

you should probably just wait it out. because no credit has shown up for me, but i passed every ap test. they probably are entering them all slowly, but if you can’t wait you can call the collegeboard to get your scores

I’m planning on just waiting it out. They’ll probably be entered soon.
Last year, they were mailed in early July, so hopefully they’ll come that early this year as well!

does the school get scores before we do or around the same time?
AP says expect scores in mail in 3rd week of july… and my orientation is in 3rd week of july, I’m hoping they’ll have the scores in by then.

omg. You guys are so smart. Mine are just two 2’s and one 3. lol. I sucked but I am getting at least 15 credits for taking college in hs class plus early fall start program. So that should count for something. lol. btw anyone attending the orientation on the 20th and 21st july?

Unfortunately I found out later that the Honor’s Program doesn’t accept AP Credits. Oh, well. If i weren’t in Honors then i probably wouldn’t have really wasted the money. I guess if I’m down to the wire in a few years and I need random credits to graduate it might help me out, though.

How do you figure out how many credits you recieve for AP test scores?
I know you have to get a 4 or 5 for it to count for college; but how do you calculate your score into college credits?

I’m going to be a Junior this fall, and am taking 2 AP classes, and will be self-studying one AP test (I take the class, but my school doesn’t offer it AP).

The Original Poster said that they’ll be starting with 30 credits. That’s one year of college, right? (15 credits per semester)?
Since I wish to Double Major when I go to UW, should I try to knock out all me GenEd’s in HS?

And what is this about the Honors Program not accepting AP credits?! =(
So if I wanted to do honors, there is no point to AP?!

Thanks for the link!
Yeah, that’s really vexing that AP doesn’t count for Honors Program.

I was looking the Honors site, and it said that you can do Department Honors (Honors only for your major), and still have AP credits count for GenEd’s. I’m not sure if there’s really a point to that x]

No problem. Yes you can do departmental honors, which i think i might do for business. All of your APs would still count for areas of knowledge as you said. Honestly i dont really see a point in honors in general, it just seems like more work and in the end, does it really make much of a difference? I have heard that employers dont really look at honors that much differently than a regular degree.

Yeah… That’s what I’m worried about honors.
Its just annoying because I wanted to be able to choose classes early, which the Honors program allows you to =/
[unrelated to AP] Do you know how quickly classes fill up? Are there any classes that are such high demand, that its impossible to get in as a Freshman?
