***AP U.S. HISTORY 2015***

@PhilipL yup that’s the exam, but i’ve been trying to familiarize myself with it the past week. its not that bad if you know your history and key people. i barely read the passages sometimes!!

@glasshours i make outlines and highlight some key info, but i also have these flashcards that i check off when i’ve finally retained a new term from reading

Hey guys, where are you in terms of the curriculum? We’re just finishing up the Gilded Age today, and looking through our textbook, we still have basically another 50% to do in the next month, so I’m getting really nervous that we won’t finish. Also, btw does anybody have a pdf of the revised AP practice exam?

Alzhao, we just finished up to World War II.

My class is at the 1960’s.

Those of you who’ve done the practice questions in AMSCO 2015: do you find the questions to be harder than the actual AP multiple choice?

Some questions are fairly straightforward, but others confuse me with either the wording of the question or the passage. Why did they have to revise the exam…

My class finished the book a couple weeks back but ours only goes to 2004, we’re using barrons prep now

@Chalmydia‌ @4nia4ever‌ @thelalalanddd‌ Ahh I figured that our class is crazy behind

@suprstar16‌ I heard we are getting a DBQ tomorrow…but it is not in-class. I doubt my teacher will be able to teach us how to write it correctly, so I will have to watch those videos tomorrow night on how to write a DBQ!
@zeppelins‌ How do you familiarize yourself with it when there is only one College Board APUSH practice exam? Or are there more somewhere? I would like to practice once we finish the curriculum! We still have six chapters left in The American Pageant… We’re screwed. I really need a 4 on this exam for credit, but I don’t know if this is attainable. :frowning:

We have a test tomorrow on like wwII but I haven’t learned absolutely anything all year.

I’m also taking four other APs (I needa study for chem and psych, Calc and English I barely have to study for)

I have the new Barron’s (modeled after the new exam) and the REA (not crash course)

Let me know whatever you guys that is online as practice. I may be taking the ush sat II, is anyone else? Lmk how you guys are studying

@philipL the amsco book!! get it NOW, has the questions formatted for the new exam with several essays to practice and the material is great. i understand, we’re only on chapter 24 of brinkley (ww2) but i myself went ahead so now i’m on truman and the cold war

@zeppelins‌ Is it worth $32?! I would have to pay for it myself, and there is only one month until the exam…

I actually have a test tomorrow on WWII and Cold War, chapters 25-27 in Brinkley. I’d assume we’d be done with very little time to spare where we’d do practice exams. If anyone could pm me exams with MC and FR based on new exam

@philipL absolutely!! just got it and i’m completely in love with it. i’m practicing one chapter a day, maybe 2 if i don’t have that much homework. or at least get the pdf

@zeppelins Oh okay. I have the next most recent AMSCO book for APUSH because my school distributed those as well as our textbooks, but I want the new AMSCO now… I would like some practice! Maybe I should just use that practice exam that College Board has. Is that the official practice exam for 2015? I’m scared that if I do it on my own, my teacher will use that one to give us practice!!! At least I would have all of the correct answers if there’s a key somewhere… Is there? I would like to check my answers!

for the collegeboard exam? @PhilipL i don’t think there is one… to my knowledge

my class is on world war 2 but i self-studied up to the 80s

what’s up with those historical thinking skills? i feel like my weakest will be continuity or periodization

We finished the curriculum on March 16th…and our teacher said that was late for him. We did a new chapter every day. That’s how my teacher has taught it for 44 years.

A new chapter everyday? That’s insane. I highly doubt you learned anything.
