What text book r u guys using in ur ap gov classes?

American Government (10th Edition) by James Wilson and John Dilulio Jr.

also are your classes a year or a semester. Its a semester at my school. (very stupid)

a semester at mine too! the other half is econ...
i'm taking it next year, so can't comment on the book, sorry...

The two best textbooks are American Government - the Essentials by Wilson and Dilulio and American Government Continuity and Change by O'Conner and Sabato. Dr. Sabato is at UVA and is on TV quite often. Also check out the prep books by Ethel Woods.

My class is a year, so that's cool. My teacher does tend to go off on tangents, though, so that eats up a lot of time...

I also use American Government by Wilson and Dulilio. I have to admit its boring to read, but I learn!

which book is the best for studying for the AP test?
barrons, kaplan....?

Future: Agreed. The chapter on Congress is the most boring thing I've ever read and taking notes on it made me want to gouge my eyes out. But I'm learning...

We use "The Challenge of Democracy" by Janda, Berry, and Goldman. little surprised nobody else does.

We just had the congress chapter today. Chapter 11 I think? Who knows, it was the devil.

Long as hell, and covers a billion things.

^ Ch. 13 in the 10th Edition. But whatever, still a pain to read.

Were in the middle of the Presidency...

and I have Barrons and Cliffs...i love them both...

I agree about the Congress chapter. I actually fell asleep while reading it the night before our Congress test and obviously I got a C on it. I liked the Political Participation chapter best.

Using some textbook by Edwards. Sorry, I didn't bring the book home today so I can't look up the title.

It one semester course at my school.
