dang, they are screwed. We are on the Long Weekend, aka the period between WWI and II. We do a group analysis of a president each week though, and when it comes to that we are on Eisenhower.

we start vietnam on tuesday..

We're on the Vietnam War right now.

We're at Nixon's resignation.

Bush the first

takin a test on WWII 2morrow and day after, then startin cold war.

Post-Reconstructoin and Industrial America... we are doomed.... sigh

We just finished Nixon and Watergate today.

onto the beginnings of WWII tomorrow!! (Ch. 35 out of 43 in Bailey)

We've been finished for a week.

Post Truman Era/1950s. We are actually covering 3 chapters this week (on spring breaK) ending with the Watergate.

we are up to the kellogg-briand pact, circa 1929 CE

Kellogg-Briand=horrible, ha. Good idea but it as pretty much worthless.

We're on WWII and reviewing. We double up on quizzes, like we have new vocab from WWII then on the same quiz questions from the colonies or Revolution. Over April vacation we'll do 2 chapters on our own and hopefully have time for some review before may 5.

CMD220, that sounds similar to my class's pace in April last year. I remember my teacher gave us a printed schedule of review chapters (from the AMSCO book) to read over. Initially it was one chapter a night, but as we neared May 5th, it was 2 chapters a night! I was so swamped w/ review that I skipped the last few chapters (the more modern stuff) just so I could concentrate on the more emphasized periods. If you don't have the AMSCO book, I don't think it would be too late to get it (unless you are already using another review book). Follow your teacher's schedule, or go at a faster pace if you feel that you'll cover more material!

My AP USH teacher is now the Dean of Students over at the middle school in our district, so now there are two new AP USH teachers. That is indeed the worst! It's too bad my teacher left, b/c this years AP USH students would have benefitted well from his teaching! I scored the only 5 on the AP USH in my school out of give-or-take 40 students. I'm glad I was able to get a 5 in my teachers last year of teaching AP USH!

Besides, I've heard terrible accounts that this year's AP USH students in my school have not even started LEARNING about the World Wars yet! So don't feel so bad! Several AP USH students in my school are very far behind! With some good review, you'll know everything you need to know to score a 5! Go on AP Central, make an account, and study the free response questions and answers! If you make some time to do this often from now till May 5th, you'll definitely know what makes an AP USH essay score high! Good luck!

Reviewing - DBQ tomorrow.

Thanks APDoolittle!

No problem! Good luck! If I can be of any more help, please PM me! I love (and miss) U.S. History!!! Haha, later. :D

Just finished reading the last word in Liberty, Equality, Power last night. What a poignant journey APUSH has been...

Today in class we pretty much finished up FDR's New Deal. Should be through WWII by the end of next week, while studying JFK/LBJ on our own at the same time. After spring break we should resume at about Vietnam, giving us about 2 and a half weeks to finish up.
