For senior year, does it matter if you decide, instead of doing all AP, do do one honors? Because I am going to be a pre- med, and I really want to take Honors Anatomy, but don't know if its worth it. Because in the same time I could take like AP Physics or something ( I will for sure take AP Bio). In total then, I would take 4 AP Classes ( psychology, calc, bio, and either physics or stat). Instead of 4 AP, would it make a difference to do 3 AP and 1 Honors? Is senior curriculum looked at that much that that would matter?

Oh, I can't really take more than 4 AP because I have certain reqs to graduate, like arts credits and english, which don't come in AP.

Senior year matters, colleges want to know that you are still challenging yourself, and AP classes are more challenging and hold a higher value for colleges, so I would take 4 APs if you can handle all the work.

Unless you're applying to a ridiculously selective school like one of the Ivies, I think you should take Honors Anatomy.

Show the schools you're serious about medicine - in addition to taking AP Bio, AP Psych, and Honors Anatomy, volunteer at a local hospital or clinic; get any experience you can. Play this up in your admissions essays. (Especially if applying to any 7-year accelerated programs.)

You may want to IS AP Stats, because it's easy enough and it ties in with AP Psych. Just don't do it at the expense of your GPA and ECs.

If you choose to take a 4th AP instead of Honors Anatomy, why not look for an anatomy class at your local CC?

I disagree with the above. An AP course would be more rigorous, in theory, but Honors Anatomy goes along with your focus/passion, and thus I think it'd have more weight than AP physics or stats. Even at the Ivies. One different AP course won't matter a whole lot senior year, especially since you're not going down a regular course, but an honors one. So if I were you, I'd take the anatomy class.

i personally dont believe all the hype that ap is a more rigorous course...at my school which is ultra competitive...ap is pretty much an honors class with a standardized test at the end of the course

yeah I feel like whether I'm in lv 1 or honors or AP, I do the same amount of work... actually in AP I don't have to do some work that the lower level kids have to do like homework checks... we just have more projects...

This is specific to your case only, I suppose, collegefreak12, but high school Honors Anatomy will rarely ever be useful preparation for a pre-med track in college. I'm interested in possibly pursuing medicine for college studies as well, but I opted to take AP Physics instead because an understanding of physics is going to be very valuable no matter what scientific studies you pursue, what with its all-encompassing laws and dictation of how everything transpires in the universe.

That being said, there's nothing wrong with choosing an Honors class over an AP class if it's related to your interests/passions and is clearly not a "slack-off" class. In my school (and I'm sure at many others), Anatomy is infamously rigorous for an Honors class, but in my opinion, it's not very useful.
