Okay I'm stressing over the ap exam for ap world history!! I feel as if I'm going to fail the exam. Please help me with tips on how to tackle the exam, what to look forward to and what to specifically study, help please!!

I’m taking the AP world test this coming week too! I find that taking practice tests helps a ton, as AP ‘recycles’ questions often. I’ve taken 3 so far, and my scores have been steadily improving. I’d focus on knowing the different civilizations, knowing their locations, and relationships between different civilizations and peoples. As for the essays, I’m personally going to do practice essays while timing myself, just to get a feel for doing all three at once and brush up on the structure and content of each essay.
If you’ve been taking the class and maintaining at least a B, I think you should get a 4 if not a 5, as the MC is not that hard, and the curve is usually generous. Just remember to integrate as many concrete details into your essays as possible, and best of luck on Thursday!!

Thank you so much! Ugh it’s my first ap exam, so nervous! Would like some more people’s experience with it an tips

I took the AP exam last year and it wasn’t all that bad just make sure you know your time periods for the essays and in my experience the multiple choice is pretty easy just make sure you pace yourself. Bring a watch and keep tabs on your time because most proctors are lazy and won’t give you the warnings.

Find the study method that works best for you. World History was my first - I used Crash Course (From Amazon) and wrote a lot of essays from previous years.
My only major suggestion would be to stay calm. My stoner friends tend to ace standardized tests without nearly as much studying just for the simple reason that they don’t care as much, and thus are not as stressed. Stress physically inhibits a lot of your memory and reasoning but is often overlooked.

Thanks guys!

Last year there were a lot of short excerpts or quotes to read and answer questions about, so manage your time efficiently on the exam. A lot of people didn’t finish or had to guess on the last few.

what kind of essay are dependent on the civilization could it be mostly comparision?
