Hi, I am going to take AP World History this fall and if anyone here could tell me about the homework material? Organization, techniques? Anything really I need to know about the class
Depends on your school. Mine was very text heavy with little to no outside homework besides reading. Just gotta write those notes and have a great memory.
Thanks @BurgerMan1
I took it last year and for my class, there were textbook readings every night (on average 10 pages, sometimes there would be 30 pages or 7 pages) and a reading quiz every class. I pretty much failed every quiz (my year end grade for quiz average was D+) because I didn’t read any of the readings. Just went online to look for summaries. Tests i usually get C+ range but with test corrections they usually become a B. In the beginning of the year my essays were like the 1-3 range but became high like to 8 towards the mid and year end ( I find the DBQ easier). My teacher allowed test corrections and rewrites, so I managed to get a B for the class lol. But, seriously listen to what your teacher teaches like lectures.
Take notes on the lectures, if they do it. I gave up on my binder organization a month after school began but you should really keep an organized binder. I tried my best in that class except the night readings and quizzes. Got a Barron book too. Didn’t really use it, but sort of read all the shortcut summaries for each unit for my AP test and got a 5…idk how lol. This class is by far the most informative class I’ve ever taken and I learned a lot from it through the lectures. Sorry for long post, good luck and try your best!!! Don’t be like me, do you readings!!! They help!!! :)))
Thank you!!! @erika20
