Hey all!
So right now, I am currently a high school junior picking out courses. In the near future, I am hoping to major in something related to the humanities. My predicament is this: I have yet to take an AP history course, which is why I really want to take AP world! However, I would have to take AP GOV concurrently with AP World, which I am content with, but is it really worth it at this point? As in, would taking an AP history course senior year assist me in applying within the humanities, or should I just settle with taking ap stats instead?
PS: I have to select courses by the end of today, so that’s why this is “urgent.”
AP Gov is a social science class as is APWH. Nobody says that you need to have an AP history class. As to AP WH or AP stats, it depends. What’s the rest of your schedule look like?
It did not require a 911 call, so I edited the “urgent” out of your header to remove the clickbait element.
@skieurope Next year, I am planning to take AP gov, AP macro/micro, AP Physics, AP Calc BC, and AP4. My fear is that since I took regular us history instead of APUSH sophomore year, I won’t have enough demonstrated interest in the humanities with my course load.
You already have 2 AP social science courses. You don’t need a third to demonstrate interest. So take whichever interests you know. Or take a non-AP course; you already have 5, which is more than enough.
