APES: Smartypants-WAY SHORT

You can literally read through the Smartypants book in a matter of hours. Contrasted against my Barron's review books on other subjects, Smartypants is really condensed and doesn't feel like it covers everything you need to know for the exam (although I'm not sure because I haven't take the exam yet). Although CCers have praised Smartypants as the best ES review book, I'm wondering if it alone will be sufficient preparation in order to receive a 5 on the APES exam. I've taken Earth Science HN and Bio HN in school, but have yet to take AP Bio (will be taking it next year).

So is the Smartypants book alone sufficient to receive a 5 on the exam or must some other form of prep also be included?

The impression I'm getting is that Smartypants doesn't cover everything but it covers the stuff it covers very well. Thus, I would buy another book. I'm self-studying ES and I have smartypants + PR. Haven't started yet though.

Lol i bought the smartypant's as well and was pretty surprised with the length... I got a text book and will probably buy the Barrons review book in addition to it

I bought the Smartypants' ES, it covers things really well. I also would like to suggest to get the Princeton instead of Barron's (way to complicated and to much info.) I think Smartypant's and Princeton would make a good combo.
