APES : Smartypants vs Princeton Review

So I recently bought the Smartypants guide to APES and i found it to be quite concise . I thought it was a bit too 'thin' for an AP book , so while checking out other books , i glanced over Princeton Review and saw that it had a lot of material that the smartypants book didn't.
However I also read on collegeconfidential and some other websites that smartypants is probably the best book out there for self-studying APES.
Should I just do the smartpants book for APES or should I also go through PR ?

Also, while this is a little off-topic , i was going through some of the FRQs on the Collegeboard site and i found the questions to be quite strange. There was one question which asked us to write the method by which energy is extracted from Sugarcane and Tar Pits. Now I havent found this on the Environment Science books i came across , how do i go about attempting such 'random' questions ?

Thanks a lot!

Well many feel it wont suffice for a 5 but students who have the class usually only need this book for review. But for self-studiers PR would be best since Barrons is way too long and 5 steps is another option as well.

Eh, a lot of the stuff in the MC didn’t seem to be in PR (at least last year). PR is pretty good for the FR, but I would recommend using Smartypants as well.
