hey! I was just wondering about apex learning. is it any good? and does it work? also, how much does it cost? or is it something that you go threw your school for? thanks in advance for the help, and do you know of any other good distance learning places?

We used it for a supplement in my AP US Gov class last year. I don't know if it is different for other subjects, but it really sucked for US Gov.

It was free for every AP student. I guess the school purchased the services.

Anyway, I used it for AP Physics B in 11th Grade and AP Calculus AB in 12th grade. I suppose it was helpful; however, I did not use it enough (laziness) for it to be extremely effective. I appreciated how interactive portions of it were though

Hey! I am doing two courses online next semester. APEX let me demo ALL of their courses for two weeks. It was very cool. E-mail them and ask for a temporary user ID and password and they will give one to you. If not, you can see the first unit of all their classes in the DEMO section of their site. I think it's a great program. From what I saw, it is well organized, there are lots multimedia videos/tutorials, and its coursework is driven toward the AP Exam. They have tons of AP tips along the way, and they even grade their tests the way the AP Exam is graded. In fact, I think the whole last unit of their courses are all AP-centered. I would recommend it! :)

hey thanx for everything, but can you only use apex threw your school? and how much is the cost?

No, you don't have to use it through your school. You can sign up independently. The cost is about $350 plus the cost of textbooks for one semester.

thanx for all the help
