i got through around 2 weeks back.....i sent in my transcripts in jan and there were no updates or emails till feb 4th when they said im accepted...so there were no hassles there.....
if u could do so...i suggest u go to the admissions office personally and hand deliver the packet and dont forget to take a reciept so that if they say they havent got it u can fax them their sign on their face.....

also u could courier them instead of mailing them.....courier services require the recipient to sign and then u could call the recipient and ask him/her where ur stuff are.....

Dont worry and just relax.....ull get through

PS: what are your stats? sometimes they hold ppl up cause of their stats and then give out admissions in the end....

That's great news! Now RELAX......Do something fun this weekend to get your mind off of this. Where are you studying, if you don't mind my asking?

Ok my status finally changed to say that they have all materials and my app is being reviewed. So since there is no waitlist for transfer students, if I recall right there will be 2 possible answers I'll get:
1) "You have been admitted" - Which means I'm accepted
2) "You will be notified by mail of our decision" - Which means I'm rejected
Is this correct?

I'm to find out any day now whether or not I got in and see this message and I attempt to check my status: *The Indiana University campus is currently undergoing an upgrade to our Student Information System. Due to this upgrade, if you are in the process of applying to IU please expect an additional 2 weeks for the processing of your application. We are also limited in the information we can provide to students inquiring about their status during this period. We appreciated your understanding and patience. *
Perfect. It never ends. Should have expected this. PERFECT TIME OF THE YEAR TO UPGRADE THE SYSTEM!

I know you are frustrated but this probably is one of only a few windows of time for them to be doing this work.

The SISystem needs to be fully operational during times of class registration. So the entire summer is out since that is when freshman register during their orientations, Nov - Jan are out because of spring registration and I believe fall registration starts at the end of March.

I know I've said it before, but please relax. You know you have a good backup in OSU, so try to enjoy your remaining time on PEI while you wait for IU's answer.

Yea I've relaxed a lot knowing they have everything, but it seems like things keep happening continuously to prevent me from getting an answer. I mean, it's been almost 4 months...trying to be patent though.

Finally got an answer: Accepted. Leaning towards Ohio State now though. This ordeal has really diminished my desire to go to IU. Plus Ohio has told me I can get in-state tuition after the 1st year. Tough call. Sort of...

Congratulations! Personally, I wouldn't let the admissions trauma get in the way of your decision. Just weigh the two schools outside of that. I know that seems hard, but it was a very unusual situation. You applied quite early for a transfer student. Some schools won't even take transfer apps that early, so they can see the fall grades as well and make sure spring transfers are all sorted out. They could have given you a better idea of when to expect a decision, but meh.

I am going through the transfer process too. I didn't start sending transcripts off til my fall grades were in the computer. I was lucky that the places I submitted apps to got back to me within a week but if there was a school I reallyreally wanted to go to, I wouldn't hold it against them if they ended up taking longer. The 2nd year in-state tuition deal is a sweet incentive for Ohio though.

No not yet. I'm currently out of the country, but plan to do some college visiting as soon as I get back. IU is looking like it's not going to happen now, especially with their price increase. I fell like I'm downgrading but I'll probably end up at Ohio State...
