App Status

Does Yale have an online app status thing or some kind of notification that they received my application? Because I sent my app online about a week ago and i have received no response at all yet about whether they received it or about my app status.......

RD application? B1tch please!!!

Seriously. Wait your turn!

You should receive an email. I don't know whether it's after the CA or the supp. I submitted both parts on the same day and received an email 6 days later. You also get a postcard in the mail saying that they have your application. Then you get a letter in the mail with your Eli Account ID, but that's just for checking your online decision, not your application status.

geez.....calm down guys...

We're just nervous b/c of EA apps...those are the important thing right now

guys this forum is suposed to be helpful and supportive, both informationally and psycologically... for everyone... and snaping at the RD's isnt going to make your decision come any faster now is it?

But the OP got the answer to their question... unless if I'm totally wrong?

The postcard takes a couple weeks to show up and is not particularly friendly:

Dear Applicant,

With this postcard we acknowledge receipt of the admissions documents needed to review your application to Yale.

We assume that we will receive, or have already received, official copies of your standardized test scores either on your high school transcript or directly from the testing agency. If you asked that your scores be reported to Yale, you should assume that we will have them.

It is not necessary to call or write to us to check on the completeness of your file. We will contact you or your school if we need any further information. Thank you for your interest in Yale.

The Yale Admissions Office.

Maybe some applicants get a more personal, friendly postcard? Anyhow - whatever you do, for heavens sake, do NOT call or write them about your app status :-)

You're going to be rejected anyway. Do you really want to become emotionally invested in your application?

LOL! That's exactly what I thought.

Ok that's going too far...

True, but remember theoneo, 95% of RD applicants get rejected. (actually 94.2...guess that means you have a chance!)
