App

Does JHU and other colleges in general process your application and begin reviewing it after all components of it are in. I'm asking that because im taking the oct. 8th sat and i want colleges to be able to see that score. are they going to wait for that offical test score to come in before reviewing. i know michigan does, but do colleges in general do this. thanks.

Unless you're applying ED to JHU, the scores should be in on time to send the entire application together in January. Even if you are applying ED, you should be able to send the results two weeks after the test, which is still in time for the deadline. I think a college wouldn't review an application until it's completed.

Most schools including JHU do not just review an application once, but a multitude of times. Therefore, if the first time your application is reviewed all of your scores have not been processed there is a strong chance the scores will be there when your app is reviewed again.

The best thing you can do, is on your application list all the dates you will be taking your standardized test scores. So when a counselor looks at your app. and sees you planned on taking the Oct. SATs and they are not in the file -- they will search for them or come back to it.

And for ED apps., October scores will absolutely be processed way before counselors start reading apps.
