appeal form?

<p>hey everyone I just received a message on my mt sac portal under the unsatisfied requirements of fafsa and it has fafsa application received and below it says that i still need to fill out Fall Academic Progress Appeal Form. this popped up not so long ago o.o what does this mean? does it mean i wont get financial aid? i also just recently turned in my copy of my photo id but it hasn't been updated yet. need some help, thanks. i turned in my parents 2009 tax and my dependent form. why do i need to fill out an appeal? this is my first year going into college. ):</p>

<p>and the other question is, on my portal it also says i need to turn in my 2009 tax return which i already did and and my dependent which i already did like 2 weeks ago, how long will it take to kick in, im awarded 775 which is the board of governor fee waiver, thats it. ): how come i dont see my pell grant money in there please help me ):</p>

<p>& under Satisfied Requirements i have something that says, Copy of Students 2009 Federal Tax Return along with W-2's = Waived. what does that mean?</p>

<p>im not very savvy with FA stuff. id go in person with all the documents they requested and ask them what is the situation with your FA. if you call in, you will be put on hold for a long time and they probably wont be able to help you over the phone lol</p>

<p>i dont think its too late and i think 2-3 weeks is the wait for documents to be processed.</p>

<p>A lot of people have gotten the same Appeal flag and no one’s sure if it’s a bug or not. Check out facebooks’s Mt. Sac page for more info on it. The documents such as ID will take 2-3 weeks to show up in your portal, possibly more if they’re busy.
Your tax returns are waived because they probably aren’t for enough money to count as a full income, so your FA is based solely off your parents’ income.</p>
