Hi!
I got rejected from Berkeley-- not very surprising for me, but I do really want to go so I figured I might as well try to appeal! Right now I'm going to Davis unless I get into UCSD or Washington and Lee off their respective waitlists...
I've been seeing conflicting info regarding the addition of "updates" i.e. awards, grades, etc... Should I include these?
I also have extenuating family financial situation that I believe may have had an effect on some of my grades that was not fully reflected on in the original application.
Also, are you allowed to change the major you applied for (originally undeclared interdisciplinary studies)?
For the record, my stats:
3.68 u/w, 4.06 w
school does not rank
2070 combined SATs, single sitting (620m [bad, i know], 720cr, 730 w)
SAT IIs: 720 US history, 730 Bio-M
Model United United Nations, 4 year swim team, cello/violin, 2 jobs (one as assistant manager at a city pool), secretary of a club, NHS, Odyssey of the Mind (2-time state qualifier, went to worlds last year, placed top 20), 13 year girl scout.
Accepted to: UCSB, UC Davis, Cal Poly
Waitlisted: UCSD, Washington and Lee
Denied: Vassar, Vanderbilt, Cornell, UCLA, Cal.

Sorry this is so long, any help would be greatly appreciated!
