Appeal Status

sigh I got rejected too, for animal bio...go figure... =[

UCI I guess...then. =</p>

"oh how come you chose ucr over csulb?"

UCR is a great school, it just gets a lot of bad rep because it is being compared to eight other top 100 National Universities. For some reason the CSUs do not get a bad rep for being CSUs.

It is all a matter of preference really, but CSULB is a commuter school, like most CSUs and you definitely will not get the college experience that you would at UCR. UCR is a full-on research University and besides giving you an awesome UC education, I hear the environment is quite nice... definitely better then what people think of a school in Riverside, California.

riverside has 3 frozen yogurt places right near campus which is a big plus, lol

ugh, its been like four hours and i still havent heard. i need to know so i can figure out what im doing for the next four years of my life

has anyone been accepted? this is rediculous

wow gggrrrsexy i cant believe you got rejected. Your app sounds amazing.

Im still waiting, soooo nervous. Do you guys think they'll have them all up on the 30th? Cause i really need to decide between Irvine or SD.

at least we can all support each other through all this nervousness and disappointment, lol

and yeah, i was shocked too, i think that made it harder to handle
i've wanted to go to davis since sophomore year =(

huh i guess i got really lucky cuz someone was helpin me get in, i wouldn't have standed a chance alone on appeal.

any new news?

eesh this is a reject fest :\ what the heck is Davis thinking rejecting people like GrrrSexy though...

@Melofied nice try :( But you dont need animal bio at Davis just to be a Vet or whatever animal related career you want, so don't feel so down (UCI has good bio too) plus at UCI it'll be much easier to intern at vet hospitals.

Oh man, everyone was rejected?! :/ Wth Davis! It's okay guys, we don't need Davis anyway!

i still havent heard =///

i'll probably check it at school and have to deal with the disappointment all day

...**** this ****

argh.. i just felt like the animal bio program would peak my interest more (obviously). >.<; Arggghhh.

lol i hope i dont have to check it at school. ill be a sobbing mess if the results dont turn out the way i want it to.

yeah, i checked the first time at brunch at school and by the time i made it to class i was crying. if i dont know by school tomorrow i'll just make myself wait until after school, lol

:(
I'm sorry to hear the news everyone. Well, at least there are other good schools around the state and in two years, there's always the option of transferring if Davis is still where you would want to go to.

Melodified - Have you thought of animal science as a major? I know there are several schools in CA that offer it including: CSU Fresno, Chico State, Cal Poly Pomona and San Luis Obispo, and of course Davis. I'm not sure if any other schools offer it. I've heard of some community colleges offering an associates degree in animal science. That might be an option until you can transfer to a 4year. Also, zoology might be a viable option.

they still havent told me
hmm...

I'll join the REJECTED crew...

so now its UCSD, Westmont, or cc. not bad choices i suppose.
