Appeal to Financial Aid

Hello all, received basically nothing in financial aid after getting in ED1 so I just now sent an email to them explaining that I think it was overlooked. I dont want to go into to much detail on it but I have a serious family problem that I have been living with and I expressed that that may not have been taken into account when handling financial aid.

How likely do you think the financial aid office will be in giving a tuition reduction/merit aid after filing for an appeal?

I don’t think anyone in here is qualified to tell you whether or not you’ll be successful in an appeal, especially without having any details. The only thing we can really say is that there are successful cases of appeal, but they’re rarely for what the student “thinks” they need/deserve. Good luck.
