Does anyone know if this is allowed? Does anyone know someone who successfully appealed while asking for a different major?

Thanks.

I guess if the major you applied for was really a mistake like me–I had like no prereqs done for the one I chose.
I’m gonna email them to ask by this weekend.

the appeal is to provide new information that wasn’t in your original application. Its not a second application that you can submit.

Appealing as a different major may change the number of prereqs completed? Maybe even give more weight to courses that were taken, since they may count as being core courses?
I’ve sent them an email regarding the reason why I was rejected. If this reason is pertained to my prereq–which I believe it is–then, requesting another major may give them new light to their previous judgment.

A change of major isn’t considered new information? Even if you could explain why you feel it is better suited for you? Especially if the pre-reqs are similar and you have completed them all?
