What does it take to win an appeal with the university about their admission decision

First off, they take into consideration your senior year, whereas they did not in the regular admission process. You need to write an additional letter, preferably explaining an even more excellent senior year that they have not yet seen. If you can get another good letter of recommendation, that’s also excellent.

Keep in mind that only approximately 5% were changed to acceptances last year, but that’s still worth that chance in my opinion. What do you have to lose?

If my grades had improved with harder courses, more service hours, I had illness in the family during high school, and a letter of recommendation from someone that worked at a high level with a company involved with the University would that be enough?
