I was admitted into USP's PharmD program and St. John's University's PharmD program. However, USP gave me $14,000 scholarship (only for the first 4 years) while SJU gave me $8,000. Also, USP's financial aid package was better in that they were less loans. However, I visited USP and the school was alright. However, I absolutely did NOT like the neighborhood. I did not feel safe and if I attended USP, I do not think I would want to walk around myself. I live in NYC so I'm okay with the neighborhood SJU is in (Queens). I would definately rather attend SJU. Plus, both pharmacy programs offer the same type of education (but USP is more specialized).

So, my question is:
Can I email, call, or write to SJU's financial aid office and ask if they can match up my scholarship or alter my financial aid? I would DEFINATELY attend SJU over USP but USP would be much cheaper for me.
