I have 2 choices for Pharmacy

Hey, I know its past the May 1st deadline for colleges, and I've already sent my deposit to St. Johns University for the 6 year pharmD program.

But, this is the problem: I was just told today that I have been taken off the wait list and have been accepted to the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia for their 6 year pharmD program.

I know USP is nationally ranked, much better than St Johns I believe.

I want to be a pharmacist that works in a pharmacy like CVS, Walgreens, or Rite Aid. I want to be a community pharmacist. Is one school better than the other for this?

But I don't know where to go. Both of them cost around the same: around $32,000 each. They are both the same distance from my house. One is Jamaica, New York, and the other is in Philly, PA.

Where should I go? If anyone can offer advice, some information about the schools, or anything, that would really help.

Please help me. I really don't know what to do now.

Thank you all very much

Pharmacists are so sought after that if you do well in school you can work anywhere, so I see it as a personal preference. For most professional accredidated programs the differences despite the ranking are not that major. Pick your favorite place to spend 6 years and enjoy!
