I was accepted to University of Rochester with a decent financial aid package. However, there is another school that is relatively the same price that offered a little bit more money. I’m stuck between these two schools because they are both fabulous schools and if I could squeeze a little bit more money out of Rochester then I would go there. I was just wondering if there is an effective way to appeal my financial aid package? Thanks!
They are both going to increase the same amount over the next 4 years because they are the same price. You have to factor in the other costs, like travel to, whether or not one of the schools has better apartments off campus, which will save 7K a year, etc…
They tell you on their website how to appeal…
Hey there, @vbspikes98! If the information you provided on your financial aid application is no longer an accurate reflection of your current ability to pay, reach out to your financial aid counselor to discuss the impact it may have on your FA package.
