Appealing

Does anyone know if Berkeley does appeals based on first come, first serve (of course only if an appeal has merit) or if they wait until they get a whole wave of letters then review? Thanks!

Not sure but the deadline for appeals is April 15th. I'm guessing appeals turned in before this date have an advantage over late appeals.

yea, i agree with haloraider...they probably aren't in the sense of..."jim sent his first, so he should get first priority". But your chances of winning your appeal are probably less if you send it passed the deadline.

does anyone know if they let out decisions in waves or all at once? may 1st?

They do not specify whether late appeals hurt your chances but they do say late appeals may delay notification.

I just noticed april 15th is on Sunday. So for people who are appealing, it would be better if it gets there by april 14th.

Do you know of anyone that has gotten in under appeals yet? I am really nervous.

I think the admitance rate through appeals is 12%, and thats including spring semester.

so it can happen anytime then?

they release them in a rolling manner?

I would like to hope that it would happen anytime, but I think they release them all around May 1st, maybe before, maybe after.
