Does anyone have any idea--based on actual or anecdotal evidence--as to what the success rate of appeals is?

i'm in the same boat as you..from a post on here someone said like 27 out of 1000 appeals worked. so unfortunately, the chance is almost slim to none. hopefully that isn't actually true. i know lots of ppl from my school who got in but aren't going; i'm hoping that might help me a bit.

regardless of whether the appeal goes through, just keep your head up and work hard wherever you go. i know i will.

this link is actually very helpful in understanding the appeals process--although, I warn you,it's not too encouraging.

According to that link, UCB and UCLA sets aside space for appeals. Interesting.

Berkeley received nearly
1,000 freshman appeals
for fall 2003; fall
admission was granted to
29 students and spring
admission to 94 students.
At the transfer level
Berkeley received about
500 appeals and granted
fall admission to 10
students and spring
admission to 46 students.

thats more than 10% O.O?
