Anyone trying to appeal, anyone have any luck?

Appeals are difficult from what I have heard and read. CPSLO goes by the numbers (GPA, course difficulty and SAT) and nothing else. So, unless there was an error in those numbers, you don’t have much of a basis for an appeal. Grades are thru your junior year. If you have improved during your senior year it carries no weight, they won’t consider it.

For official info, go to the college website that addresses appeals [Application Changes -Admissions- Cal Poly](http://www.ess.calpoly.edu/_admiss/undergrad/applicant_appeal.html)

Sorry to shoot down the idea of an appeal. However, although I wouldn’t advise it unless you meet their appeal criteria; if you don’t appeal, you’ll never know.

My daughter was not accepted when we thought she would be a shoe in. She thought about appealling but didn’t want to drag herself thru emotional rollercoaster of the whole appeal process. She ended up going to her second choice, which was a private east coast school. She is doing great and has never looked back. I advise you to do similiarly.
