Are any other FIRST robotics people applying for this camp? I think this is Apple’s first year doing it, and I was just wondering how competitive you think it might be. I know they are only accepting 75 students but how many do you think are going to apply?
Where could I find more information about this program? Is this exclusively for students in FRC?

To be eligible for consideration for a FIRST Nomination for the 2019 Apple Engineering Technology Camp, an applicant must:
• Be a high school sophomore or junior.
• Reside in the U.S.; both at the time of application and Camp commencement.
• Be a current participant on a FIRST® Tech Challenge or FIRST® Robotics Competition team.
• Confirm their ability to participate in the full duration of the camp (July 09 - Aug 3), should they be selected.
• Complete and fully submit the online application no later than 11:59 p.m. EST December 28th, 2018.

I have no additional information about the program, but I would say yes, it’s probably very competitive given the number of students who participate in FIRST Tech Challenge or FIRST Robotics Competition teams.
Hey, do you guys know if this program exclusively for FIRST Robotics or Teh Challenge people? Is there a regular application for people not participating in FIRST? Thank you
I would say somewhere below 10% acceptance rate. I am not sure whether you can apply outside of FIRST, but I know FIRST is NOMINATING these students to apply so there could possibly be another way.

Curious if anyone who was nominated has heard back from Apple?
Interesting, I know they had a NVIDIA version of this last year. A person I know who ended up getting the intern spot will be part of Harvard Class of 2023. I would say getting a spot in this camp is definitely worth something and could land you in a T20.
We still have not heard back from Apple… has anyone else? We can’t seem to find a notification date or list of accepted campers.
