Applicant Chances for Boarding Schools

During middle school I attended Buckingham Browne and Nichols in Cambridge, where I was an A-, B+ student usually. Family problems and my father's move to St Louis prompted a need for boarding school last minute, (late august), and the only school with space was Kent School. I applied and was accepted very last minute as a freshman, but am not too keen of it. It's been fine, but because I never had the shot to look at other schools, I am now. I have an A- minus average and take the all honors courses available (Bio and Geometry), and sing in Choir and a Capella. I play football and lacrosse, am involved in two com service clubs, and I'm also a tour guide. I am pretty involved in religion, as confirmation was a big thing with me. I play guitar and take lessons, and I believe I will have good recs. SSAT scores haven't come back yet, but in some ways I feel I botched my essay. I do believe my other aspects of the exam should be strong. I'm applying to top schools becasue I don't feel that it is honestly worth it to transfer if I'm not going to jump to a signicantly more rigorous school.

Deerfield
Milton
Hotckiss
Andover
St. Paul's

I haven't sent in my apps as this is rather last minute (yet again)
any opinions?

Forgot to mention Grandfather went to Hotchkiss, doubt that type of legacy has much impact

I think you have a good chance, but you need to hurry BIG TIME. It’s really late in the game, so get all your essays done now! Good luck. =)

Well I’ve been working on them a lot, technically I have rough drafts of all of them. Also, after reading alot of the chance threads, I’m not remotely fishing for compliments or attempting to boast. I’m just curious if people have any advice for me, as I’m sure most of us are in similiar situations
