Applicants for the Class of 2010

junior. planning to apply EA.

I was duped! Good job, Mockingbird. Still, despite your decision to not be a 7th grade prodigy- take my advice anyway, especially about the cats.

Diabolic, I'm with you. SATs are longer than APs!!

I think I'll apply, but I don't have any SATs yet. Practice tests put me in the ballpark, but the real test seemed really hard. Does anyone know anything about MIT's womens soccer team?

also, i know ive asked this in several places already and i apologize for sounding like a broken record, but is there any idea of how many applicants have taken math through multivariable or diff. equations?

I met a Minnesota parent of a current MIT student who is NOT an UMTYMP alumnus (because the student moved into Minnesota too late to apply to UMTYMP) and that student reports that MIT is full of people who had two years of college math, that is post-calculus math, before they entered MIT. But that student had only AP calculus BC before making a successful application to MIT, so it's not EVERYONE at MIT who has lots and lots of math courses beforehand (maybe just the students who don't want to feel stressed out when they get to MIT).

Good luck in your application. I suppose Sly Si is still waiting for his news about one more school.

I guess I'll apply to MIT, I really like Cambridge...
I'm not going to post any stats, theyre useless cause I got into RSI!

I'm going to apply early. 235 Psat. Will post SAT I on Monday! W00t!

80% sure i'm applying, horrible stats tho. duno why i'm trying-dare to dream

I'm applying; but considering I'm international w/ no really major awards I'll say my chances are right around nil... >.<

Hi, rippledance, are you the person who used to post as Rippledance over on Brand X?

yep. hey tokenadult. =D

I've decided against applying, but I wish good luck to all 06'/10' applicants! :)

I will be applying, though my stats are #1) not solodified and #2) not fantastic. Senior year will be better. If i dont get in, Im hoping with an appeal I may... I dont even know why I bother... Wishful thinking, i suppose...

I'll most likely apply to MIT next year, although no one from my school has been accepted since 2001.

means nothing, soliloquy, i was the first in twenty years. in fact, it probably helps.

i'll definitely be applying, but prolly not early

Thanks for the information hikkifan. I must add: Congratulations on your acceptances so far!
