It’s the USPS, not sound waves. Things travel at different speeds in different directions.
@EyeVeee Thanks for that. Made me chuckle.
We live walking distance to Haverford College and did NOT receive a letter today in the mail.
when are the emails for international students sent
@Fejiro I can only speculate. I think they’ll hit the send button at 5:00 pm ET.
Friday that is.
On Facebook Haverford said it would notify international students by email tonight (Thursday).
@hawkirk - they are one of the few colleges that still send their decisions by mail. They include a really nice personal note on each and every acceptance letter.
Just found out my decision - waitlisted ugh
Accepted!!
I just got my Decision-waitlisted
they said that I was waitlisted because they dont have enough funds to provide financial aid to all intenational students
@Fejiro it kinda sucks man
Hey Fejiro,
I was told exactly the same thing. Did your email also include “There is a possibility that funds may become available if one of our international financial aid recipients declines our offer.”? I was wondering, though, if they sent the same email to all International students who were waitlisted. Is anyone here who was waitlisted but not due to their Finaid needs?
@Mohaimen Yeah mine did include that too. Possibly there where some international students that didn’t require aid so i dont think that they will recieve the same email
However do you think we have better or the same chances of acceptance from the waitlist than normal domestic students since obviously not all the international students that were offered admission and aid will accept
Hopefully, we might have a slight advantage, but all we can do now is assume.
Accepted! May I know how’s economics at Haverford?
Accepted after being rejected by Pomona/Bowdoin and waitlisted by Midd/Carleton! 34/3.6 int’l
Have any US applicants received their decisions yet?
not that i know of @akin67
Does anyone have the link to the groupme?
We live in NY and my son just received a large envelope from Haverford—fingers crossed!!
