SalmonBerry, we’re in different situations then. Exeter says that aid is mostly open to canadians and Americans. And I’m Asian. =(

I’m looking into those big names, since they’re the only schools that most likely to give me aid…

Gosh there are 96 people! That’s just…I’m getting old!!!

Wow gonnastop, we have the same bday month and year!

And Blue, I’m jealous. I wanna help people and give advice! I have two years of application experience under my belt! I got into Exeter and Choate! I know how to make sushi! I can say pancakes in Spanish! I can make cheese waffles! PICK ME! lmaoooo

I’m thinking for next year: Emma Willard, Taft again, NMH again, Mercersburg, Suffield, Loomis and Governor’s and maybe Hill
I’m still considering applying late though to like LC, EW, S, Hill, and M

what is pancakes en espanol martes?

Ooh, apply late to LC. I almost did last year (like I called the adcoms and everything) and they were really friendly, like ‘yesss please apply! omnomnom’

panqueques rad en cuadros

wow panqueques <- r u sirius?
and rofl ‘omnomnom’ i will then lol ;)

Lol i luv pancakes! I have another question… does anyone have parents that are less than thrilled that you are interested in boarding schools over 5 states away? lol

Yes. Still do. they start to come round when you get in with great FA!

Ok good to know because as of right now i am allowed to look into boarding schools and start applying next year but that dosent mean i be allowed to go … lol

I was in the exact same situation. Good Luck!

SSRS

@ salmonberry: yeaah, go canadians! we’re chronically underrepresented on this forum, i think.

i’m pretty sure about the 5 schools i’m applying to next year: loomis, deerfield, NMH, middlesex and concord. super excited. gooo '11 !

hopefully schools are more generous with FA this year… loomis and NMH were pretty brutal, apparently :-(

le gasp i fo’ gots de MX!!! to my extensive list!

Tuesdays my bday was Aug 25. You?

There are about 20 schools that offer aid to int’ls. I might pick several to apply.

Ooh, Dive, if you have questions about visiting Concord, you can ask moi! 8D I interviewed but never carried out my application.

the perfect one’s roommate said not to apply there- apparently it’s really strict. I mean c’mon you can’t even go to you’re dorm during the day and etc…

Well Everybody since I got rejected to Andover ;( . I am reapplying but this time I am applying to HADES,Lawrencville,Choate and maybe Kent… And maybe MX. But are you guys applying as a repeat 9th graders or 10th graders ?Ohh and when are you guys gonna start your apps ?

AUGUST 20TH!!! Homg, and we’ve both lived/do live in China…this is craaazy!

And wait rad, are you talking about Concord? Whoahh. I didn’t apply because the campus just wasn’t pretty, in my opinion. 8/

yeah concord- she used to go there or something…

describe how the campus wasn’t pretty, tuesdays… like in comparison to the other schools, or were the buildings like old and crumbling… ? hmm.

LOL concord’s pretty independent… you can go off-campus without signing out and you can visit the town whenever you want… i’ve never heard of concord being “too strict”! who’d you hear that from??

Except for the dance studio, none of the campus had any pretty architecture or anything. They were just standard, 50s-70s built buildings that had crumbling paint and old public school-looking heavy doors for classrooms, and everything was pretty basic. Most stairs (not all) were like the backstairs of an apartment building and cramped. Then again, it IS a super super small campus (there’s only one quad and it was pretty tiny). The outskirts of Concord were okay since they were lined with the pretty white and black houses shown in the catalogues. xD

@swissbrit I’m going to start my apps ASAP! I tend to procrastinate a lot so I going to need to start as soon as I can so that I can get them all (or at least most of them) done and done well!
