Applicants Of 2011!

yes yes RAD coolness ;)

Haha Rad , i thought you got into a few schools… What schools are you gonna apply to this year ?

I kinda started to freak out…
It’s March! And look we have…6 or 7 people on this thread!!!
Andover will receive 3,000 apps next year…

My biggest wish now is the economy could get on the right track. Plzzzz

@boardingschool
wow thats crazy. there have always been more than two new juniors…the current sophomore class is overenrolled but accepting only 2 of 70 is crazy. there is generally a hockey recruit, and i know that one of the two accepted kids is a soccer recruit, so maybe they didnt take any non-recruits this year. weird

i got into NMH w/ no FA and the option of W/L in hopes of FA and waitlisted at williston :/

rad, maybe williston thought you were using them as a safety and tried to protect their yield …? :S seems strange that NMH would accept you, but not williston ?!

good luck you guys… its a difficult process but certaintly worth it

hey jyun so which school do you plan on attending ?

I’ve decided to revisit. Im leaning towards Choate, because I have some family there. So possibly good news for you waitlsietd applicants!

Remember, when the acceptance letter comes on March 10, 2011, every agonizing session over apps, essays, or whatever, really will be sooooooo worth it. Trust me! I’ll be here when that crazy time comes around next year, and help y’all along the way! Good Luck! :)

Thanks so much!!!

Bump

Dive: yeah,i was thinking that too :/

Um a quick question… can you tour the school during the summer? I like in the south (FL) and most of the schools i am interested in are in conneticuit, New hampshire , etc. I am visiting up there during the summer though… any thoughts?

i think their admissions offices open in like august if you visit early you could just walk around the campus. usually they don’t care but that is usually when the campus is in a more urban setting

ok thanks i will deff keep that in mind!

yeah, some tours are in the summer. I think it would be kind of better to go during the school year though b/c you get more of a ‘feel’ of how it is when you’re there(school year)(atmosphere)

Yeah i agree but it is sadly almost impossible for me to tour during the school year because i live so far away :/

What I would do is tour during summer and then interview off campus and if you get in go to revisits.

thats a great idea ! thanks
Does anyone have parents that arn’t really into the whole BS thing? My parents agreed to let me apply but they highly doubt i will get in with enough financial aid so i am baisically doing the whole reaserching schools/ applying for info alone… so sorry if i am asking so many questions!

I have the same problem but just make a list of schools I suggest 3-4 reaches, 3-4 matches and 3-4 safeties, Ideally 10 schools is good so you can move the fourth one round. Anyways make a list, present it to your parents, get them to research the schools and see what they think of them and then have a talk and start the process ( in august-september-october)
