i submitted my application online today by using the common app but i didnt receive an email that my app was submitted or confirmed. should i worry?

i submitted my application during thanksgiving break and i still haven''t recieved a shred of confirmation in e-mail or postcard form- don''t expect confirmation from JHU for a few months----JHU online says if you don''t recieve a postcard within 5-6 weeks out from submission then you can call /e-mail them--check out my recents thread The Lost JHU app????? for more

i know some schools do the instant e-mail thing but JHU definitely dosen''t

as long it says on commonapp.org that i submitted my app and supplements and paid, its okay right?

i guess so yeah, but jhu isn't gunna tell you anything------the only way i knew that they knew i was applying their is the little green message below SUBMITTED on the common app that tell you the date the school downloaded your application and supplement---i paid through the commonapp and i had my dad check to see if it has went through his credit card online---it went through someplace in VA associated with the commonapp, but i guess JHU recieved it--but to be honest i really don;t know---- whatever

^^Your statement isn't quite accurate. Hopkins DOES send you notifications through regular mail. As laxfan said earlier, don't worry if you haven't received anything.

i don't think so--- this kid is talking about instant confirmation recieved when you submit an application--which, i said with JHU wasn't happening---i did say they sent a postcard for comfimation, but that they were so slow with it, that its purpose was slightly useless for this kid who wanted to know if JHU got the app right after he submitted it---read the whole thread

but, mdk is right don't worry about it anyways--you should know that JHU has at least gotten your app by the DOWNLOADED tab on the commonapp---but to give JHU some credit i do actually think they give confimation e-mails if you use their online app
