Hey everyone...I don't post on cc often but I lurk lol. Ok, I sent my application back in December, but never paid the $30. I forgot about it and was completely unaware of the feb 13th deadline (and got caught up in the UF excitement that week). Today I recieved an email that reads:
"Since your application fee was not received, the FSU Office of Admissions has cancelled your application for Fall 2008.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reply to this email, leaving the subject line intact. We have appreciated your interest in Florida State University and wish you success in your educational endeavors".

Is there any way I can still send the fee?...I spent a lot of time on the application and I can't believe I never sent it. What should I do?

The first thing you need to do is call admissions and explain the reason for not paying the fee.

The university does not consider an application completed and ready for review until certain criteria are met. paying the app fee is one of those. The last admission notification date is April 2, 2008.

you certainly can offer to pay the fee and ask to be considered in thiat application pool. This year, FSU has apparantly received many applications. I have always found the admissions department to be very helpful and understanding.

call them asap and explain. good luck. hope you got into UF as well.

Thanks for the advice. I did call the school and unfortunately was told that there is nothing I can do. I haven't heard of the April 2nd date and admissions told me i'm 9 days past the final deadline (Feb 13th). I did get into UF though, so everyone is telling me i'm crazy to be so worried about FSU...but I really wanted to have it as another option.
