Does anyone know how to change my major on my application to Cal Poly Pomona for fall 2015? I see that I have until 12-31 but ask Billy isn’t clear what or how to do it? Any help would be appreciated

I want to know this too. I applied for an impacted major and have changed my mind.

Email admissions

Thank you @Gumbymom. Admissions is closed until January 2nd and the deadline is 12-31-14.

According to their website:

“To make changes to your application regarding your first and second choice major, you will receive an email from Admission and Outreach with instructions. The deadline for changing first and second choice major is December 31.”

Double-check the Pomona e-mails you’ve received since applying and see if there are instructions about changing your major. If you’ve done that, and you didn’t find directions, I would e-mail admissions before the deadline, and then follow up with a phone call when they’re open again. You want make sure your request is in on time, even if they don’t process it immediately.

@grgscrjr Thank you. I read it the same way you did. I looked through all my emails and the new mycpp. I did not see any instructions. I thought I was missing something. So, I am going to email them tomorrow and call on January 2nd. Thanks again for taking time to answer.

I think I’d sit tight until you arrive. Change it once you are there. Given the volume of GE courses required, it won’t set you back.
I was thinking that panda15 might be interested in changing their major from an impacted to a non-impacted major for the purposes of improving their chances of admission. Possibly I’m wrong about that, though.
that’s what I’m trying to do, @grgscrjr
thanks @grgscrjr and @NCalRent. I am a transfer student and I am wanting to go from Animal Science to Animal Health Science.
You can change your major during the spring if you get accepted. I suggest that if you already know that you want to change majors that you talk to the dean in that department and start following your desired major’s plan starting in your first quarter.
