Application deficiency??

SOoooo Texas is saying that I need to take an econ class either before I go (assuming I get in) or when i'm there. They called my college counselor to tell them but when i called the admins they said my app is fine and that it wouldn't be processing if there was a deficiency...they said I may have agreed to do it in my app but I don't remember doing so. I'm really not sure what I should do, any ideas?

Just take an econ class if you’ve never taken one.

I can’t my school doesn’t offer it…

Community College?

My son had the same deficiency. I believe he filled out some form offered by UT saying he would take Econ once he got to Texas. He won’t get 3 hours credit for it because it was an admissions requirement…that stinks. You could take it over the summer too…then you would get the 3 hours credit.

My GC told us that if we take econ at community college over the summer it will satisfy the 1/2 semester HS deficiency but UT does not allow you to transfer the 3 college credits. Double dipping? I may have misunderstood him but that’s what I heard.

Take a look at
https://www.depts.ttu.edu/ode/ec2k/CourseListing.asp?master_id=302&master_version=1&course_area=HIGH&course_number=ENT&course_subtitle=2

Texas Tech online HS classes. Cheaper than cc.

Ya the admin rep told me I must’ve signed a form which I don’t remember doing but whatever lol…as long as it gets sorted out I’m fine, I really like econ and think it’s easy so taking the extra class wouldn’t be terrible

Also in my AP Gov class we do 2 units of econ (micro & macro) so I’m gonna send them a syllabus but I doubt they accept that, is there a test I can take?
