Application Form

Hi, you all, I 've just got on the website of Amherst and download the transfer application form. The problem is it is the form of 2006-2007 academic year. I intend to apply for Fall 2007, and hopefully I will be able to study at Amherst in my Junior year. Is it the form that I have to fill out or I have to wait till the 2007-2008 form comes out? The deadline for Fall 2007 is the 1st of March.

I bet the form will be similar, but I think you need to wait for the new one. Work on the old one, so you have everything ready to go when the new one is posted. Good Luck!!!!!!

To ejr1: thanks for your response, the problem is I cannot work on the essays now, ...you know...They are gonna take a lot of time to finish ( both the main essay and supplement one), and I am not sure if I will have enough time.

It is very difficult, I know, but you will be in he same boat as everyone else that is applying to transfer. Make sure the essay shows who YOU are. That's what they really look for, not how cerebral, etc. At least you could get everything except the essays done now, so all you would have to do is transfer the info and have your recs, etc., all in place. Good luck!

SOS, I 've just received today the application form from Amherst. The problem is on that form, it writes clearly that TRANSFER APPLICATION - FOR ENTRY IN SPRING AND FALL 2007. I really don't know if this is the form that the admission committee will use for the Fall 2007 or they will change again. Anyone has experience in the issue...please help me!

Please help me, anyone works in the admission committee?

I would take thema t their word - it does say Fall 2007. Go for it! Good luck!

Thanks for your responses. I still have another problem: I intend to ask my professors to write me rec letters but I don't know which way is better
1. The professors will send their rec letters directly to the adcom.
2. They can hand those rec letters to me and I can send them all.

Please give me some advices!!!

give them an envelope with the adcom's address and a stamp.
