What do you think the chances are for incoming junior transfers? Has anyone heard?

I got accepted (I'll be a sophmore next year) a couple days ago

Congratulations Menace! Where are you transferring from?

Congratulations Menace! I got rejected, though it is not disappointing considering they accepted only 11 people from a pool of 200.

thanks, i'm really excited about it. i'm coming from a top public school, mainly for financial reasons (i'm out of state). so in addition to the excellent education amherst can provide me, hopefully they can give me a great fin aid package

For 2006 fall transfer students, they accepted 28 out of 162 applicants, or 17%.

2007: 11 out of more than 200.

Umm..I never got any notification on accepted/rejected

???

no answer?

I got denied.

waitlisted! wonder how many are on the waitlist

you might get my spot. i just got my fin aid package, and although it was great, i think another school i applied to will beat it

congrats to all accepted!!

But, before you make your decisions, make sure to read the fine print when you get your acceptance letter, it will tell u when they expect you to graduate and how many units you will receive.

When I was admitted, only 9 out of the 11 classes transfered, and this basically made me almost a freshman, with a little bit more units. And because of that, i decided not to attend amherst. The financial aid was great, but to me, the units were just as important. Basically, do not let the university's prestige or appeal get to you, because in the end, you will want to graduate as soon as possible with as little debt possible.

Once again, congrats!

haha, very cool menace. guess we'll see.

Congrats to everyone, especially incoming sophomores (my future classmates).
