We called again today, and they "located" D's transcript. The Admissions Office said that this would probably not show up properly on the "Check Credentials" site until tomorrow or so. But they do have it, and called to tell us.

So if the file is completed by tomorrow or Wednesday, that gives the office about 10-12 days to read it and all the others that were completed late before notifications come out. Somehow it felt better when I knew they had six weeks to do it, even though I know they can probably review files fairly expeditiously.

I had three teacher recs sent by mail. Everything went missing. I got an email on Thanksgiving about it and my second teacher still hasn't responded to re-send it out. Ahhhhhhhhhhh....

Call or email your regional guidance counselor. I had completed everything using Common App (including school forms/teacher recs). My teacher recs and school forms were "missing," but it turns out that the system just failed to automatically retrieve the files, so after emailing my counselor, she retrieved them manually.

Everything's there except my transcript, which my school sent out on the 25th. Unfortunately, when I went in to talk to my counselor again about this, she said that apparently, they used an old UChicago admissions address. Um, yeah. It won't be found for months even if it gets there, according to my regional counselor...

So I'll be taking my third trip down to the counseling office tomorrow and doing some more begging to get yet another rush transcript that I'll just send myself by express mail so that it gets there before the 5th. Hopefully.

I think they'll only accept an "official transcript" sent directly from the school, so you might want to check to make sure they'll accept a transcript that you send personally.

What I did was give my counselor the FedEx envelope. She printed out another transcript and either just slipped it in or put it into a sealed envelope and then slipped it in. I have no idea and no way to check, but hopefully, it'll all be good.

It's on its way there. I've done all I can do as of right now. =/

D got an email today that everything is in; but the website still shows one letter missing. I'm assuming the email is correct, since her GC called yesterday and verified that a missing recommendation had been faxed.
