I mailed my transcripts out on December 11th, thus completing my application and sending it off to the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Two days later, I received and email saying your Application to the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities is complete. The priority deadline was December 15th, so I understand it may have been a little late to submit the application. For about a month now, my application has said thank you for sending your application in, all decisions submitted before the deadline will be notified by the end of February.

As of yesterday (January 25th 2013.) it says your application is very carefully considered. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I have heard from others on this site that it is both good and bad. How soon should I expect to receive a decision from the U?

Thank you so much for your time.

My son’s said carefully considered and then a week(maybe sooner) he got his acceptance. I think they put that there when they are about to make a decision.

Yeah, I think they’re making decisions. The results will be shown on the tracker about a week. All you need is patience.:)

If you honestly call them they will tell you if you are accepted. They typically have already recieved your information, and such when you send in the last material that you need. The being carefully considered part is just them waiting to cycle through before they send out a mass email to everyone that was accepted. If they emailed everyone individually it would just take so much time. Call them ask

Yeah all of my materials were sent in on around December 9th, and the tracker changed to “being carefully considered” on December 28th.
I got my acceptance on January 6th… so about a week after is when you’ll hear back from them.
