application question

it says on the yale website:
While you may submit either an electronic or paper version of your application to Yale College, we strongly encourage you to apply to Yale online. Whichever way you choose to apply, please note that you should choose only ONE of the two options. That is, if you apply electronically, please do not submit a paper version of your application. If you submit a paper application, please do not submit an electronic version.

My counselor can only send documents such as my transcript and letters of recommendation through mail as paper versions so i was wondering whether I could apply online and just have her send the transcripts and letters of recommendation.. or should i send them all together as paper written?

It's definitely not a problem if you submit your part of the application online and then your counselor mails paper versions of your transcript and recommendations. Most colleges (including Yale) expect to get transcripts and letters of recommendation in the mail after they've received an electronic copy of the rest of your application.

thank you sooo much! I was quite worried since they seem to prefer it when applicants apply electronically.

I think they definitely do prefer electronic applications, but I'm pretty sure that the "electronic" part doesn't apply to teacher recommendations and transcripts.
