Application regrets?

@sonic23
I applied to UCSC, UCSB, UCD, UCLA, and Cal.
I keep going back and fourth on where I’d like to go, all schools have their pros and cons.
I also tagged UCSC but I had to submit my TAG with courses planned for this semester, Spring 2014, before the schedule was released and it turned out that one of the courses I put down wasn’t being offered and another got cancelled due to low enrollment and because of that my TAG was void :(

^ Berkeley or UCLA; kinda a no brainer really.
unless one of the other UCs has a much stronger anthro department

That makes me feel a little bit better. Thank You.
I guess all thats left is to wait out these next 2 months and see how it all pans out :)

I regret applying to UCR and UCSB because I can’t go there even if I got in. Why did I do it then? I tagged for UCSB because it’s free and it’s the only school I was able to TAG to (finished math Fall 2013). I wanted to TAG to UCI, but it was too late. I wasted 140 dollars of my hard earned money for no reason. That’s 20 hours I worked for nothing (8 is minimum wage, but after ss/medicare/and all that other bs they take out of your paycheck, it’s around 6-7 bucks).

Why can’t you go to UCR or UCSB? @BurntCorpse

I regret applying to five schools as opposed to four since I’m 99% certain I’ll get in to UCLA, Berkeley, or both; applying to five schools meant paying the application fee for one of them since the fee waiver can only be used on the first four schools you applied to.

I have no regrets applying to the schools I applied to. Though I kind of wished I would’ve done in addition a school up north (maybe SJSU) and USC + LMU to see where I stand… But I wouldn’t go to them so I guess it’s not as bad _

UCSB would take 3-4 hours and UCR is about 1-2 hours of driving

I really wish I would have applied to UCR instead of UCSD. Wish I knew then what I know now. Since applying I found out I’m out of financial aid ran out(over 150% of 60 units ).My last year of school I will be over 150% of 120 units, therefore, any class I take at community college I will pay for then. Not really application regret, but now CSU’s are not looking so inexpensive so I would have applied to a few more UC’s.(blue and gold oppurtunity).
