Hi, I just noticed that when I applied for USC on the Common App, my "Application Submitted" time is different from when I paid for the application and actually submitted it. The Application Submitted time is about 3 hours after I paid for the application. I'm worried that I did not submit the application in time for USC's merit scholarship deadline (December 1 11:59 pm). I paid for the application at 11:08, but it was not "submitted" until 2 am on December 2. Did I miss the deadline?

Don’t worry, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Really, it’s not a problem. The common app time clock is just in a different time zone from you. No worries at all.

Oh, but the gap between the time I paid and when it was submitted is 3 hours for USC, but for Santa Clara it was 4 hours. I’m just worried that there’s a processing time that would make my application past the deadline.

… because it’s in USC’s interest to auto-delete every app that comes in at 12:00:01???

Think about it. Relax.
