im conducting an informal study to see just how much the number of applications is actually increasing around the country (going back eight years). it would be really helpful if you could post the number of applications submitted at various schools around the country this year if it was in your acceptance/rejection letter or you found it elsewhere (most schools havent posted the data on their websites yet). thanks in advance!

ill start with a few lacs:

swarthmore: 4850, up 19 percent
colgate: 7872, down 2 percent
barnard: 4599, up 4 percent
bucknell: 9011, up 9 percent

you dont need to post whether its up or down, but can if youd like.

ill post my results here when i have sufficient data.

thanks for the posts, everybody. though you are certainly free to post anything youd like, non-exact numbers are of no benefit to me. so if you have an actual number but just didnt feel like looking for it, id appreciate it if you did.
