Hello,

I’m will be a sophomore in college in Fall 2017. I went to a local CC before I was accepted in my state university. I paid the enrollment fee and am currently undergoing the process of a transfer. However, my question is. Is it possible for a college/university to winthdraw/rescind my acceptance even after paying the enrollment fee? Also, is the enrollment fee like a security deposit for whatever school one applied to? Thanks!

Yes of course it is possible for the university to rescind your acceptance even after paying a deposit fee. There are contingencies on your admission and they don’t go away just because you paid $500. The school still holds the right to rescind you and keep the money if problems arise such as failing a class or getting arrested.
