Confirmed enrollement as Transfer, but want to back out! Help

I was recently accepted to college A for Winter transfer and the deadline to accept transfer enrollment was Dec 1, so I did, college A being the only school that had accepted me at the time. I paid the $200 and confirmed.

On Dec 3. I got acceptance for the school I really wanted to go to, college B. I paid the $500 to confirm. But then I received an email from college B that says if I have confirmed with another school my acceptance can be rescinded. Please help as I have decided not to go to college A for a variety of reasons although I do love it.

What should I do? Is confirming enrollment and paying the $200 deposit legally binding? Can I just contact administration and discuss this with them. Has this happened to anyone here? The worst case scenario is I end up having my acceptance rescinded from both schools. Thanks!

You can just inform the college that you have decided not to attend; penalty will be loss of your $200. Should be done in writing so you have a record of your withdrawal.

^Correct. This occurs frequently. Nothing to be worried about. Congrats BTW
