I know someone who was accepted into a college who has a huge slate of criminal record. When he applied for the application he checked "no" when he applied asking the question if he had been in prison or committed any felonies. Why is the background check system so ****ty for certain schools? Not only did he lie about being arrested or being convicted of a felony on his application but he went to a half assed online/technical college. I'm wondering would they reject his admissions if they were to ever find out? He basically lied on his essay about what he has been doing for the past few years as well...

Honestly for myself I don't have a criminal record nor was I ever in trouble with the law. If someone who has worked hard all semester and being accepted into the same school it just makes me wonder that schools could careless about the grades and the background checking it's more about the money at the end of the day. Maybe next time I'll have a criminal record too maybe they'll give me a scholarship!

I understand nothing is fair in life but that's just ********.
I'm not trying to sound spiteful but that really just doesn't make any sense... any thoughts?
