Applied for internship...should I call HR?

<p>I applied at this cpa firm for an internship and I really wanna snag it for the summer. Well it's been a couple days and I'm thinking about in week I should call the HR manager and see if I can schedule an interview. The thing is I don't really have an idea what to say. I don't wanna seem rude or too bossy but I do want to show him/her that I am taking the initiative to stand out and get this job. Anyone have any suggestions on how I should go about doing this? Thank you</p>

<p>It takes more than just a couple days to coordinate a multi-round interview process with everyone involved, especially at this time of the year.</p>

<p>In addition, it could also be possible that they are waiting for more applicants to apply before they make their decisions on who to interview.</p>

<p>Definitely wait a little bit longer. Do you know anyone that works in the CPA firm that might be able to expedite your application? If you try to contact HR yourself, there’s a chance you’re not going to get a straight answer and that you might come off as presumptuous.</p>
